近日,在美國(guó)圣地亞哥舉辦的2019年美國(guó)細(xì)胞生物學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)/EMBO會(huì)議上,來自班古里昂大學(xué)和德克薩斯大學(xué)西南醫(yī)學(xué)中心的科學(xué)家們表示,他們通過研究開發(fā)了一種名為“定量活細(xì)胞組織學(xué)”(quantitative live cell histology)的創(chuàng)新性技術(shù)。

研究者表示,該技術(shù)能利用人工智能(AI,artificial intelligence)的方法識(shí)別可能轉(zhuǎn)移到機(jī)體其它部位的黑色素瘤細(xì)胞。這種新型技術(shù)能利用顯微攝像頭記錄細(xì)胞的視頻圖像,同時(shí)還能鑒別出具有轉(zhuǎn)移潛能的細(xì)胞的表現(xiàn)和行為模式。
研究者Zaritsky博士說道,闡釋單一細(xì)胞的功能狀態(tài)或能幫助預(yù)測(cè)III期黑色素瘤進(jìn)展為IV期的可能性,III期黑色素瘤的惡性程度僅局限于淋巴系統(tǒng)中,如果進(jìn)展到IV期,黑色素瘤則會(huì)從機(jī)體的主要部位擴(kuò)散到患者的其它身體部位。
最后研究者表示,除了能夠預(yù)測(cè)癌癥的轉(zhuǎn)移潛能外,這種新型的計(jì)算機(jī)模型還能幫助研究人員通過對(duì)肉眼不可見的因子進(jìn)行定量分析,來有效區(qū)分不同患者機(jī)體中的癌細(xì)胞,對(duì)于有效預(yù)測(cè)不同癌癥患者的疾病進(jìn)展以及制定個(gè)體化策略至關(guān)重要。
